Project Summary: Insuring that all existing Apigee product pages were migrated to enterprise level google design system specs.
The challenge: Following Google design specs meant taking a closer look at existing components to see if the migration to Google components would work and make sense to our users. It also meant our users will be seeing newly designed pages with new patterns. Integrating Apigee’s API management platform into Google cloud meant having to rethink what the navigation would look like. I worked with a Sr. UX designer to map out the existing navigation and architecture in order for us to reorganize and build a new menu. Redesigned
and updated previous analytic pages to adopt new design system. Certain constraints included the amount of information and how it was displayed as well as allowing enough space for text while keeping similar structure as previous.
Solution: Working closely with PM’s and engineers to better understand user needs helped in the design, development and launch of product pages.
Results: A product which was acquired by Google Cloud now looks and feel like it belongs within the Cloud suite of offerings bridging the gap between
